Will execute approximately 25 TMTRs of emerging technologies to inform future investment decisions and maintain alignment between RDT&E activities and the Joint Staff needs; conduct full MEIA mission cycles for prioritized Joint Operational Problems; and conduct technical assessments and analysis that inform requirements and concept development.
Increase from FY 2026 to FY 2027 restores efforts that were deferred and realigns funding with strategic imperatives.

Reviews are integrated across the Joint Staff, OUSW(R&E) and OUSW(A&S) to address strategic operational issues raised by the Joint Staff; providing technical analysis and advisory support to the Joint Staff; and implementing MEIA for two prioritized Joint Operational Problems.
