AEDC FY 2027 Budget Year plans include major restoration and modernization stopgap measures at the Central Inertial and GPS Test Facility (CIGTF) the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT), and the National Radar Cross-Section Test Facility (NRTF) as bridges to future MILCONs; major shared mechanical, electrical, and cooling water system infrastructure recapitalization efforts at the Aeropropulsion Systems Test Facility (ASTF), the Von Karmon Gas Dynamics Facility (VKF) Plant, and the Propulsion Wind Tunnel (PWT) Plant; targeted test facility modernization efforts at the 16ft diameter Supersonic Wind Tunnel (16S), the Aeropropulsion Test Unit (APTU), and the Turbine Engine Altitude test cells. Begin infrastructure projects to support Long Range Kill Web capability development.
Funding increased $168.814 million to develop Long Range Kill Chain test capabilities.

For FY 2026 Current Year, AEDC is performing restoration and modernization projects across geographically separated locations with increased emphasis on hypersonic test capabilities, including major repair and replacement projects supporting the Von Karmon Facility, J6 large rocket motor test facility, Aerodynamic and Propulsion Test Unit (APTU), C-Plant, test utility systems, and various test facilities across Arnold AFB and the 704TG.
