SSC Enterprise Engineering & Integration
The Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) is executing Space Systems Command (SSC) Enterprise Engineering & Integration (Project 664111) for Guardians across Space Control, Global Mission Operations (GMO), and Space Access operational functions and Command and Control and Networks enterprise functions supporting operational warfighting, operational commands, combat support, and combat service support units. As a result, the Service will improve battle management integrated of all weapon systems; streamline capabilities development through institutional processes; and augment, supplement, and/or integrate Allies, partners, and commercial space to USSF units. The primary mission of SSIO is to orchestrate and integrate end-to-end capability delivery for warfighter operations across all Space Force Program Executive Officers (PEOs) and Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs), Space Force Field Commands, Combatant Commands, and mission partners such as the Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (AFRCO), the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). SSIO is the only USSF office that looks throughout the fielded and programmed force to integrate kill chains across PEOs/PAEs and partners to deter, defeat, and dominate a dynamic red threat. In 2021, the Space Force established SSIO. In July 2024, the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (ASAF)(SA&I) broadened SSIO's mission and designated SSIO as the organization responsible for integration across all Space Force PEO/PAE portfolios to include SSC, Space Development Agency (SDA), and the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO). In April 2025, the ASAF(SA&I) appointed a Senior Advisor to the Service Acquisition Executive (SASAE), and, in response to a 2025 NDAA requirement, the Senior Advisor for Space Command, Control, and Integration (SASC2I). The SASAE is the USSF lead for System of Systems Engineering (SoSE) across the space acquisition enterprise and is responsible to drive engineering and assess all acquisition efforts under the authority of the ASAF(SA&I) portfolio and applicable mission partner organizations. This includes advising the Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) on matters of enforcement needed to enable and accelerate integrated enterprise capability delivery.
Scale and deliver space enterprise capabilities beyond discrete mission threads to a fully integrated, resilient, and adaptive end-to-end system-of-systems architecture for multi-domain operational scenarios. Integrate, in partnership with PEOs/Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs) 4+ classified weapon systems at the core of multiple…
