In FY 2027, JFN will complete testing of and deliver v3.0 software capabilities and multi-level security (MLS) capability enhancements. The latter provides an MLS All-source Persistent Targeting Common Operating Picture and hybrid-cloud architecture that integrates the tactical edge with current operational capabilities and networks with JFN. v3.0 also integrates Generative AI models in special access facilities to enable decision superiority for fires across the JFN. Additionally, FY 2027 will see the completion of delivery of outstanding JFN Operations Centers and nodes in USINDOPACOM. The Joint Fires Network (JFN) is a multi-domain resilient fires-informing decision network at theater strategic and operational levels that provides a persistent targeting common operating picture and mission command applications at the SAP level to enable top echelon decision makers to optimize allocation of weapons across Services and partners at speed and scale.

FY2026 plans — current year In FY 2026, the JFN will transition from prototype to program of record led by a JFN Integrated Program Office (IPO). DAF PEO C3BM will serve as the lead component with Service and DISA deputies. JFN v2.0 product baseline will be released, to include updates to the MLS architecture, cloud hosting, additional multi-domain C2 planning features, predictive ISR, and Battle Management C2 applications. JFN will support INDOPACOM capability development, exercise, and rehearsal and cross-CCMD experimentation to inform requirements for the extension of JFN across multiple Combatant Commands, geographic regions, allies and partners.
