Additional investments that facilitate ExPDRO include expeditionary dredge research; quay wall repair techniques and technologies; expeditionary mooring and fendering systems; port assessment sensor package integration for port engineering reconnaissance and assessment; floating work platform family of systems (FoS) integration to support dredging, pile driving, and waterfront construction; development, testing, and evaluation of diving tools and equipment to support underwater construction; and integration, testing, and evaluation of remote-controlled, semi-autonomous, and full-autonomous engineering surveying and construction equipment capabilities.
