Defense-Wide Electronic Procurement Capabilities- Contingency
Defense-wide Electronic Procurement Capabilities provides for the development of critical e-business enterprise-wide requirements for the procurement community. These requirements may result from statute, regulation, process re-engineering or internal control requirements. This program provides opportunities for the introduction of innovative, time-saving, and cost-saving technologies into procurement processes across the Department. Resources are provided to conduct agile software development and testing on new or modified defense-wide e-business applications to ensure system and application development, integration, and demonstration of production representative systems and capabilities.
FY2027 planned work FY 2027 plans will focus on deploying additional enterprise-wide capabilities in PIEE to increase capability of the acquisition workforce to execute Rapid Acquisition Services and Agile Prototyping as part of overall Acquisition Transformation and partnership with the defense industrial base. Acquisition Transformation efforts within DPCAP, including Deal Team negotiations and efforts, strategies to eliminate late cost and pricing submissions that drive higher contract costs, and regulatory updates to accelerate acquisition timelines. FY2026 plans — current year FY 2026 plans will focus on deploying additional enterprise-wide capabilities in PIEE to support both the Services’ contract writing capabilities and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) initiatives with a special focus on the modernized clause logic capability including potential support to classified contracting activities. Develop enterprise requirements coming from emerging statutes and regulations for the procurement community. Enhance the suite of procurement data standards and to address items intended to close gaps identified by Component financial audits.
