FY2027 planned work

Continue: - Research developing and delivering scalable software applications and plug-and-play hardware components that enable customizable human performance collection, assessment, monitoring, and management to improve lethality and readiness. - Research and development in extended reality, synthetic agent(s), and training feedback technologies that integrate with future fires and kill-web systems to provide realistic synthetic enemies and effects and greatly enhance Marine Corps training effectiveness. - Develop and experiment with Augmented Reality (AR) technologies to improve target identification, classification, and situational awareness for ground force / infantry fires applications. - Research development and experimentation with technologies and methodologies to improve small unit decision-making training and operational capabilities through the use of human-machine teaming, multi-modal interactions, and after-action review and trend analysis. - Development on prototype and experimentation with portable Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) kits that enable standalone, integrated training within a contested littoral or maritime operating environment for forward deployed units.

FY2026 to FY2027 change

- Continue research developing and delivering scalable software applications and plug-and-play hardware components that enable customizable human performance collection, assessment, monitoring, and management. - Continue research and development in extended reality, synthetic agent(s), and training feedback technologies that integrate with future fires and kill-web systems to provide realistic synthetic enemies and greatly enhance Marine Corps training effectiveness. - Continue to develop and test mixed reality technologies that will improve target identification, classification, and situational awareness for fires applications. - Continue research and development of methodologies to improve small unit decision-making training and operational capabilities through the use of human-machine teaming, multi-modal interactions, and after-action review and trend analysis. - Complete development and assessment of new marksmanship training approaches, analysis, and visualizations to improve marksmanship and extend the lethality measurement approach to low-visibility operations, indirect fires lethality assessments, and other complex scenarios. - Complete development of infrastructure to incorporate wearable physiological monitoring devices, predictive algorithms, health tracking capability, and related technologies that can be operated by Marine Corps organizations and end users that will increase physical readiness and reduce potential injuries. - Complete development of adaptive and experiential training applications and assessments to address requirements stated in Training and Education 2030. - Complete development of marksmanship data collection tools that provides analysis and actionable feedback based on Marine Corps established parameters and doctrine. - Initiate effort to develop portable Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) kits that enable standalone, integrated training within a contested littoral or maritime operating environment for forward deployed units.
