It supports the development of technologies associated with all naval platforms (surface, subsurface, terrestrial, and air) and the protection of those platforms. This project is broken out into five primary areas of study: Aircraft Technology, Fleet Force Protection and Defense Against Undersea Threats, Advanced Energetics, Surface Ship and Submarine Hull Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E), and Naval Research Enterprise/Innovation Operations.
